How sponsorship works
Many BG sponsorships run for years — long enough to follow a child from their first classroom to their final exam. Here is what that journey looks like.
You choose a child from the gallery below
Browse the profiles and choose the child you would like to sponsor. If none calls to you, BG Kenya will match you with the child who most needs a sponsor at that moment — email info@blessedgeneration.nl.
You set up a monthly standing order to BG Netherlands
Standing order to IBAN NL59 RABO 0160 2833 45, BIC RABONL2U. €40 for a primary school child, €65 for a high school student at BG Ruiru. Fully ANBI tax-deductible — annual receipts provided every January.
BG allocates directly to that child's program costs
School fees, three daily meals, healthcare, accommodation, clothing, stationery, and social worker support. All costs. Nothing held back. Tracked by individual child. Your contribution is earmarked — not pooled.
You receive personal updates as they grow
School reports, photographs, and news from the location — twice a year. Some sponsors visit Kenya and meet their sponsored child in person. Contact info@blessedgeneration.nl to arrange a field visit.

Approximately €27 net per month for the average Dutch income tax payer. BG Netherlands Foundation holds full ANBI status (KvK 01100560, RSIN 8145.90.998). Annual tax receipts are provided every January. The exact net amount depends on your individual tax rate — consult your belastingadviseur if needed. The full €40 reaches BG Kenya.
BG mediates the relationship for the child's protection and privacy. Sponsors do not correspond directly with children, but receive regular updates, photographs, and school news twice a year. Some sponsors visit Kenya and meet their sponsored child in person — contact info@blessedgeneration.nl to arrange a field visit.
You can cancel any time. Cancel your standing order with your bank and email info@blessedgeneration.nl to notify BG Netherlands. The child's place in the program is never at risk because a single sponsor stops — BG Kenya manages program continuity independently of individual sponsorships.
BG Netherlands transfers funds directly to BG Kenya — no intermediaries. Both organisations are independently audited annually. Audited accounts are available on request from info@blessedgeneration.nl. You can also visit any of the three Kenya locations in person — BG actively welcomes donor visits, with guesthouses at Ruiru and Nyamira at €10 per night including meals.
Yes. Some sponsors support two or three children across different locations. Set up a separate standing order for each child's reference, or contact info@blessedgeneration.nl and BG Netherlands will set up a combined reference for your bank transfer.
