BG Netherlands Foundation

The funding anchor — run entirely by volunteers, so every euro reaches Kenya.

BG Netherlands Foundation is an ANBI-registered foundation based in Hardegarijp, Netherlands. Its only purpose is to ensure that donations from Dutch donors and international supporters reach BG Kenya with zero management overhead. It has no paid staff. Every board member is a volunteer. That structure is deliberate — and it is what makes the 100% efficiency claim credible.

ANBI

Donations fully tax-deductible for Dutch donors · Annual receipts provided every January
What one visit looks like

Every fortnight. Every family. Every time.

01

You give — to BG Netherlands Foundation

Via standing order, iDEAL, Stripe, or credit card. Your payment is received by BG Netherlands Foundation — ANBI-registered, no paid staff. Dutch donors receive a tax-deductible receipt in January. The full amount is held in earmarked accounts — no management fee is deducted.
02

Funds are transmitted monthly to BG Kenya

Every month, BG Netherlands transmits received funds to BG Kenya accounts — strictly earmarked for specific programme outcomes. School fees go to schools. Nutrition budgets go to kitchens. Nothing is pooled into general overhead. Every transfer is documented and auditable.
03

BG Kenya's 100 staff deploy it on the ground

Teachers, social workers, house parents, healthcare staff at Ruiru, Malindi, and Nyamira deploy the funds in the programmes they run every day. These are professionals who know the children by name. They are the reason the outcomes are what they are.
ANBI status explained
What ANBI means for Dutch donors — and why it matters.

ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling — a Dutch government designation for organisations serving the public interest. Donations to ANBI-registered foundations are fully deductible from Dutch income tax. That means the Dutch government effectively co-funds your gift.

For a donor in the 37% income tax bracket, a €40 gift costs approximately €25 net. For a donor in the 49.5% bracket, the same gift costs approximately €20 net. In both cases, the full €40 reaches BG Kenya.

BG Netherlands Foundation holds full ANBI status — confirmed by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst). Donors receive an annual gift receipt every January covering all donations made in the previous calendar year. This receipt is the document required by the Belastingdienst for tax deduction claims.

For questions about your specific tax situation, consult a belastingadviseur. For questions about BG Netherlands’ ANBI status or documentation, email info@blessedgeneration.nl.

The board

The volunteers who ensure every euro reaches Kenya.

The BG Netherlands Foundation board has no paid positions. Every member serves as a volunteer — because the foundation’s purpose is to maximise the amount that reaches BG Kenya, not to build an organisation in the Netherlands.
The full structure

One mission. Two legal entities. Zero confusion about where the money goes.

BG Netherlands governs the funding. BG Kenya executes the programmes. The two organisations are legally distinct but operationally inseparable — connected by the same leadership and the same accountability to the children in BG’s care.

Give through BG Netherlands

Every donation to BG Netherlands reaches Kenya in full — because the people who move it take no salary.
Set up a standing order, donate via iDEAL or Stripe, or sponsor a child directly. ANBI status means Dutch donors effectively pay approximately €27 for every €40 that reaches the children. Annual tax receipts provided every January.
