Sponsorship at Blessed Generation is a life-changing commitment. It is a relationship that often lasts for years, covering a child’s entire educational journey from kindergarten to university.
“Knowing someone cared was the first step to believing I could become a nurse.”

What Child Sponsorship Is: A Personal Commitment
More than a donation, a dedicated partnership with a child.
Child sponsorship at Blessed Generation means committing to a real person. You are not giving to a vague “project fund” or a broad category of need. Instead, you are supporting a specific child whose name you will know and whose progress you will follow for years.
Furthermore, this is not a blanket donation that disappears into a general fund. In fact, you are linked to one child. You will know their unique situation and receive regular personal updates as they progress. Many of our sponsorships last long enough to follow a child from primary school through to high school graduation and beyond. As a result, this continuity creates the vital difference between a temporary intervention and a genuinely changed life.
Our Process
How it Works
Sponsorship is straightforward, choose a child, commit monthly, and stay connected as they grow.
Establish a monthly gift—€40 for primary or €65 for high school. Specifically, for Netherlands-based donors, contributions via IBAN to the BG Netherlands Foundation are tax-deductible (ANBI status). This means your net cost is significantly lower than the headline amount.
Stay connected through genuine, personal updates. You will receive photos as the child grows, school reports, and news from their specific program. In fact, these are not generic newsletters; they are specific windows into a real person building a real future.
BG actively encourages sponsors to visit our locations in Kenya. Meeting the children, staff, and teachers gives you a level of confidence in your investment that no report can replicate. We organize group visits and can facilitate individual meetings with your student.

Frequently Asked Questions
Specifically, your contribution is “all-inclusive.” It covers school fees, textbooks, uniforms, three daily meals, healthcare, and safe accommodation. For high school students in Ruiru, this also includes KCSE national exam fees and holiday housing. Therefore, we never ask families for “top-ups” or supplementary costs.
Yes. You choose the child you want to sponsor from our [Child Gallery]. Whether you choose based on a shared birthday, a specific location like Malindi, or a story that resonates with you, you are linked directly to that individual once your contribution is set up.
While there is no fixed minimum term and you can cancel at any time, most BG sponsorships last for years. In fact, the most impactful relationships follow a child from primary school through to graduation. If you must stop, your child’s place in the program is never at risk; we simply begin the search for a new sponsor.
Absolutely. We facilitate letter writing and card exchanges through our Kenya teams. Furthermore, we actively welcome personal visits to our locations. Seeing the work firsthand is the most direct form of accountability we can offer and is often the highlight of a sponsor’s experience.
Specifically for the Netherlands, the BG Netherlands Foundation holds ANBI status, making your gift fully tax-deductible. For international donors, please contact info@blessedgeneration.nl to discuss the most efficient way to give and confirm local deductibility.
